A group of people we support, friends and family from Natural Breaks recently went on a day trip to Lake Windermere and had a FANTASTIC time.  It was one of the hottest day’s of the year so far and we couldn’t have asked for more - it was perfect!  So with lots of water, sun cream and sun hats we set off and had a great day.

Windermere is a gorgeous place – with people stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, having picnics – it is paradise.  When we arrived we booked our boat trip to go around the Islands on the Lake before heading off into the town to explore.  We broke off into smaller groups of friends to look around, to hunt down a cup of tea or a cold drink, find somewhere for a spot of lunch - maybe fish and chips and of course a well-deserved ice cream in the beautiful sunshine!

We all met back by the Lake and got on board our boat for a tour of the Islands and the gentle breeze was glorious.   It was a wonderful treat to sail around the Lake and enjoy the stunning scenery and the amazing weather – we couldn’t have wished for better!

Derry said “I’ve enjoyed myself, I’ve liked meeting everyone and it’s been really good.”

Bill said “It was smashing, we had a great time, it’s what we want to do, we enjoy going out on day trips with our friends and it’s good that Natural Breaks organises this for people – I can’t wait for the next one!”
