At the start of 2025, Paul and his support team began co-planning his 70^th birthday party. From choosing the venue to setting a date. 

After attending his friend’s 60^th birthday party and having such an amazing time, Paul decided he wanted to host his own in the same venue -  St. Michael’s Cricket Club.

On the 19^th April, friends, family and staff gathered together to celebrate Paul. There was karaoke, dancing and games. Towards the end of the party, everybody gathered together to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and watch Paul blow out his candles. 

From beginning to end, Paul’s support team have enabled him to choose each aspect of his event and ensured he was part of every conversation, so his party was exactly what he pictured. Their dedication and passion was demonstrated through their strife to make sure every detail was accounted for, and everything ran smoothly. 

 

All of those who attended, from family to friends to staff, highlighted the connections Paul has made. With support, Paul has been able to make genuine, positive connections and build relationships – including his girlfriend, Joyce. His friendships give Paul confidence and a chance to express himself, surrounded by company and those who cheer him on.

Speaking after the party, about the event as a whole, Paul said: 

I’ve had a brilliant night. It’s been fantastic! I can’t thank everyone enough for coming along. It really has been great and I’m so happy.
