It had been a long awaited day for our True Blue Supporters but it finally arrived- the day of the Tour of Goodison – Home of the Toffees!!

Our day started at the Goodison Road Reception and then we headed up to the Dixie Dean Suite, where our fabulous tour guide Lily gave us all of the facts about Everton, it’s most famous player Dixie Dean and answered all of our questions!  We got to see behind-the-scenes, visit the Director’s Box, go in the changing rooms – it was awesome!  Tom couldn’t stop smiling and loved being in the stands looking out over the pitch.

In the changing rooms we saw all of the players kit and would’ve loved a team talk from Jags!  It was really exciting going up in to the press area where the managers do their press conferences – Dave was definitely feeling the pressure of that!  Everywhere was steeped in history as Everton is one of the 12 founder members of the Football League and lots of accolades to commemorate this.  The “Love” Cup is one of only 14 given out and there are only 5 left!

Dave and Ted were over the moon and went to the shop afterwards to buy an Everton Cap each, Tom and Chris bought some Everton treats too – it was a brilliant day!

One of the support workers said “A marvellous day getting to see behind the scenes of a marvellous team and Lily really knew her stuff!”

We would like to thank Elle and Lily for all of their help and support and we would recommend the Everton Tour to any Evertonians - click on the link to find out more http://www.evertonfc.com/content/tickets/stadium-tour-experience
