One of the many things we at Natural Breaks prides ourselves on is listening to the people we support.  What people have been saying is that they would like to do things out of the ordinary, have fun with their friends and try new things.  When people met with Diane last year this was one of the things that people said and the staff at Natural Breaks have all been a part of helping people achieve this wish.  From footgolf to accessible speedboats – people have been given lots of choices and options.  This week we arranged a day at Netherley Driving Range and Steve and his team made sure we had a TEE-rific time!

The day began with us getting our basket of balls, getting our clubs, working out which ones were right and left-handed, figuring out who needed which type and then knocking those golf balls all over the driving range.  It wasn’t easy at first but once people found their rhythm the balls were just flying everywhere and we worked up a sweat.  It was really good and it was great to cheer each other on!

Once we had hit about a million balls all over Netherley we then went for our lunch in the Amen Corner Café and the food was gorgeous!

The  sun was cracking the flags so we spent the afternoon on the mini-golf course and Alan was the winner flying round the course and somehow managing to pot the balls with ease when some of us just couldn’t get them down even when we were right on top of the hole!  Alan said “I wasn’t the best on the mini-golf (he was!) it was good today.”  Lee said “It was different I’ve enjoyed it being with Tom and everyone.”

Thank you to Netherley Driving Range and Amen Corner Café for a great day – we hope to be back soon!
