World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day is a global awareness day that aims to raise awareness for the inclusion, rights and well-being of people with down syndrome.

It will take place on Tuesday, 21st March 2023.

The theme for this year is ‘With Us Not For Us’. This focuses on people with disabilities having the same opportunities as everyone else and the right to be treat fairly, working with others to achieve this.

To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, we are taking part in #LotsofSocks. We will be wearing our brightest, craziest socks to show support and get involved with the conversation.

Diane, CEO

I am really pleased that we are supporting and participating in World Down Syndrome Day, this year. For me, bringing a light to such wonderful causes is an integral part of our work. We should all work together to drive towards a world where everyone has equal opportunities and is treated with respect. I am looking forward to getting involved in the ‘Lots of Socks’ campaign and wearing my brightest socks! This small gesture speaks volume and it can get the conversation to reach the masses”.
