Our Social & Learning service offers support to people who still live at home with parents and carers or whom live alone in the community and require support for particular aspects of their daily lives. Some people also reside in residential homes and have additional one to one support to go out and about in the community. Support can be provided from as little as a 3-hour session up to a full day’s support over the weekday, weekend and evenings and will be delivered in a way that will empower and enable the people to get involved in a number of different everyday tasks such as:
taking part in formal and informal learning opportunities.
accessing employment and or voluntary work.
looking at health and wellbeing and making steps to get fit and healthy.
taking part in hobbies and interests.
maintaining relationships with family, friends and significant others and also developing new relationships.
Improving people’s self-confidence and esteem.
Leading happier and healthier lives.
Support will always be delivered by a dedicated team of staff in order to provide consistency and continuity, however we will never provide support by a staff member that the person has not met and our goal is to ensure that we provide person centred support that makes sense to the person every single day.
