Our Social & Learning service provides support for adults with disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries who still live at home with families and/or carers for a number of hours a week.
Also, we provide support to disabled and/or autistic adults who live in residential settings but require support to access their local and wider community.
In Social & Learning, support is provided during daytime, evenings and/or weekends to engage in activities which may include employment, leisure and educational opportunities.
This is led by a Person's Plan which focuses on supporting people to get involved in the things that they enjoy, whilst promoting choice, control and independence where possible.
Social & Learning support sessions are provided at times that are either requested or are most suitable for the individual. These sessions can last between 3 hours and 8 hours, depending upon the person's wishes.
Support will always be delivered by a dedicated member of staff in order to provide consistency and continuity. We will make sure that a person is only supported by staff they know. Our goal is to ensure that we provide person-centred support that makes sense to the individual every single day.
