Last year, we had a couple of great days out and the people we support and their families were keen that we should continue to have coach trips and who are we to disappoint.

In May, we had a coach trip to Conway a gorgeous Welsh town with its beautiful harbour, Castle, City Walls and famous fish and chips and much, much more.

40 of us went along – people we support, family, friends and staff who all had a superb day, making memories, having laughs and spending time with our friends.

We always use Hartley’s Coaches as they are accessible for people we support and the drivers are always really helpful and friendly.  As we arrived in Conway our coach would not fit through the tunnel under the castle walls – so with a growing audience and people taking pictures our driver managed to reverse out and drop us safely by the Castle for the beginning of our adventure!

The weather was beautiful, the sun shining and the skies blue as we wandered down to the harbour to see the smallest house in Wales and to sit on the harbour walls, enjoying the calming sea and fantastic views and watching the boats bob up and down on the waves.

People separated off into smaller groups, Graham, Sue and Diane went for a lovely afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches and delicate cakes – more than they could eat, so they bought the rest back to the coach to share with everyone!  Another group went for fish and chips in the local pub and ate them in the beer garden in the sunshine.  A couple of people went on a boat trip around the harbour and others went for a walk around the City Walls – it was great.

Jacqui Hughes said “I love coming out with all my friends and catching up with people, we always have a great time when we are on a trip and I love them!”

Diane Hesketh CEO of Natural Breaks said “Going out on trips and making memories with friends is so important and at Natural Breaks people we support are at the heart of everything we do and I love that families also come along on these trips and staff come along on their days off to have fun too – it is wonderful to see the Natural Breaks family out together.”
