Yesterday Kate Hill, Jacqui Perry, Sandra Thompson and David Owen a.k.a also known as “The Stream Team” completed their swimathon challenge yesterday at Everton Park Lifestyles to raise money for Natural Breaks.  You still have time to make a donation

Each member of the Stream Team completed 100 lengths, this is the equivalent of just under 1.5 miles each and as a team they completed almost 7 miles.  Well done everyone.

This is the 2nd year of doing a sponsored swim to raise money for Natural Breaks by Sandra, Jacqui and Kate and David’s first one.  It was a really strong start and the swimmers made great  time.  Jacqui said “I could hear Kathy shouting “Come On Jacqui!”.  Around about my 60th length it was getting pretty tough and my legs felt like lead weights but we kept each others spirits up and everyone cheering us on kept me going too.”

Kevin Chair of the Board of Trustees of Natural Breaks said “As I arrived at Everton Park Leisure centre I was met by a noisy band of people who had come along to support the Stream Team. Jacqui, Sandra Kate and David set off to a great cheer - 100 lengths is a long way, but with their supporters shouting them on they all finished. It was a great achievement and a ‎pleasure to see so many people enjoying the afternoon.”

Diane said “Yet another example of Natural Breaks staff going “above and beyond” for the benefit of people we support - so inspiring and a great achievement!”

A huge thank you to Everton Park Lifestyles who let us use their pool again this year.  The staff are always really supportive and welcoming.
